3. Read about Langston Hughes (pgs 465 – 468) and the following poems — “Dream Variations,” “Theme for English B,” and “Harlem.”
4. Also, please read “Kitchenette Building” by Gwendolynn Brooks.

Grammar Boot Camp Day #1
Homework
1. If you haven’t already done it, get your vocab done for this week’s list.
- Use Verbal Advantage and list each word, its part of speech, the definition and your own personal sentence.
- Type it, print it and stick it in your vocab section.
- I’ll check it tomorrow.
2. Finish going through Chapter 1 in your grammar book pgs 3-48. Complete all the activities for adjectives, adverbs, preps and conjunctions.
3. Bring in 3 specific rules/questions/concepts that you find difficult. Type these up in your own language with specific follow up questions about each one.
